As part of your sports massage/therapy treatment I can include Dry Needling.
Dry Needling is not accupuncture, it is drawn from western medicine principles and scientific, research based conclusions.
Dry needling is safe, fast and very effective at treating musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. It has been widely used as trigger point therapy since 1942 when Dr Janet Travell and colleagues first published this method of dry needling. It is most effective when local twitch responses are elicited, and produces a faster result! It can decrease muscular pain by 50% in only one or two sessions!
I of course use sterile, single use disposable needles.
Rest assured if you are not comfortable with needles then I will not use them as part of your treatment!
